Tingley has responded to the growing need for specialized application boots by crafting these HazProof® boots. Made especially for chemical and hazmat clean up and NFPA 1991-2005 certified, these boots are appropriate for emergency response and domestic preparedness programs. The boots have also been tested to military standard 282, providing protection against some chemical warfare blister and nerve agents. These hazmat boots provide internal protection as well. They meet the ASTM F 2413-05 M/I/75/C/75 standard for steel toe impact and compression and the ANSI Z 41 PT99 EH standard for electrical hazard (boot withstands 14,000 volts at 60HZ and the current leakage does not exceed 3.0 milamperes). The steel midsole meets and exceeds ANSI Z41 PT 99 PR; firm arch support is provided by its steel shank. You will appreciate the larger foot area which is specially designed to accommodate extra bulk such as an encapsulated suit and still be comfortable. HazProof® boots meet or exceed resistance standards for permeation, 21 chemicals, flame, puncture propagation for the upper, sole and heel, sole and heel abrasion, toe impact and compression, slippage, cutting on the upper, and ladder shank bending. Constructed of a special polymer material, these super visible bright orange boots meet chemical permeation requirements of the NFPA 1991 standard. The exterior of these boots are engineered for your convenience. The outside is smooth so that cleaning and decontamination are easy. They are easy to put on and take off while wearing gloves due to the stretch fastener closure. You get 100% liquid proof protection from the injection molded seamless construction and all day cushion comfort with the blown closed cell EVA midsole. The sure grip cleated outsole is resistant to abrasion and slippage.
